Harry Potter Event: A night of spells!

29th February 2016

On 29th February pupils from KS2 gathered for a night of spells.

This event was part of the Words Count strategy where we are encouraging all children to improve their reading and to have a love of reading. It followed on from our succesful Extreme Reading competition and our Book Snooze event. The event was full of fun activities for the children linked to the Harry Potter books, such as: a sorting hat ceremony; an opportunity to make your own potion full of weird and wonderful things; a wand making class; a butterbeer tasting session and a chocolate frog box activity.

The event was finished with a Harry Potter reading by candle light from one of our ex-pupils.

The event was well attended by children, parents, governors,  ex-pupils and even a representative from North Lincolnshire Authority.
