Harvest Festival

3rd October 2016

On Monday 3rd October the whole school took part in a Harvest Festival celebration at the church.

Class 1 retold the story of The Little Red Hen using actions from Talk for Writing. To do this in front of a congregation after only being at school for a few weeks was really brave. We were very proud of them. Class 2 sang us a Harvest song they had been learning and talked about what they had learnt about Harvest. Class 3 told us about the globalism of food and Class 4 talked about the uneven food distribution across the world.

We were delighted to hear Father Owain and Mrs Harriman also talking to us about Harvest.

Thank you to the generosity of the pupils and the parents, we were able to distribute your donations to the OAPs of the village and to the Scunthorpe Food Bank. It was lovely to see so many of you at the church, thank you for your support
