Welcome to Worlaby!
As the Principal of Worlaby Academy, I am delighted to welcome you to our school.
We are a small community school, small enough to allow all staff to know all the pupils, whether they teach them or not.
All of the staff and volunteers at Worlaby academy are committed to making sure that the children and their learning is at the heart of all we do. We have high expectations of every child and offer them the appropriate amount of support and challenge to help them succeed.
Staff at this school, are willing to go the extra mile to make sure your child feels happy and safe and achieves their potential. Our buildings are well maintained and are bright and welcoming. The vibrant displays in the corridors and classrooms not only celebrate the children’s work and offer a reference point to learning but also act as a platform for showcasing talent.
Our active Parent Association, Friends of Worlaby School (FOWS), continues to raise significant sums of money, with the most recent funds raised going towards a new noticeboard for the playground and subsidy of school trips to allow all children to participate in enrichment activities. They are always looking for new members and welcome you to join them.
We encourage strong links between home and school for all our children and their families. We believe in school and home working together effectively, for the benefit of all of our children. Worlaby Academy has a strong ethos of tolerance and respect and our children have achieved the prestigious Diana Award for anti bullying twice in the last four years.
Choosing the right school for your child is extremely important. Please take the opportunity to visit our school where I will be more than pleased to show you around!
I hope you enjoy looking at the website and seeing the wonderful opportunities for learning and involvement in the community our children have.
